ECS – Electronic Control System has been designing and manufacturing numerical controls for machine tools since 1970. It is one of the first Italian CNC manufacturers and has followed the evolution of the machine tool: from milling and turning to plasma cutting, sheet metal bending and laser cutting.
In 2016 ECS was acquired by TDE Macno, and in 2017 the merger of the two companies gave rise to BDF Digital S.p.A. Today ECS S.r.l. is a company controlled by BDF Digital S.p.A.

Our history
- 1970 ECS (Electronic Control System) is founded, one of the first manufacturers of numerical controls for machine tools in Italy.
- 1971 Model 2001 for milling.
- 1976–77 Models 2001-02 for turning.
- 1992 Models 2401 and 2402.
- 2001 800 series (1801, 1802, 4801, 4802) and the first control for plasma cutting, model 1805.
- 2008 901 and 902 series.
- 2013 First control for press brakes, model 904.
- 2015 First control for laser cutting, model 915.
- 2016 TDE Macno acquires ECS.
- 2017 The merger of ECS and TDE Macno creates BDF Digital S.p.A., with ECS becoming its Numerical Control division.
- Today ECS S.r.l., a company controlled by BDF Digital S.p.A.: CNC900 series and the new CNC1000 platform, with HMIPrime interface and eVo CPU.
