CNC901

Numerical control ideal for milling, boring and drilling.

Request information

Equipped with a versatile, high-performance architecture, it can be used in many areas of application. The CNC has a modular structure: it can manage several fieldbuses and control multiple drives and local and remote input/output interfaces. Thanks to advanced algorithms, the ECS numerical control drives motion with maximum speed and precision, adapting to any type of machine tool. This makes it an ideal component for Industry 4.0, perfectly integrated into any company communication network.

In addition, the CNCs are compatible with various devices available on the market (I/Os, laser sources, focusers, etc.) and are very easy to retrofit to all previous ECS systems and third-party numerical controls.

Characteristics

The CNC901 is equipped with powerful programming geometry that supports macro-instructions to perform complex machining operations with just a few program lines, such as grooved surfaces, circular and rectangular pockets, profiled slots and 3D surfaces, defined by a flat profile, several section profiles and other complex geometric functions.

The integrated editor, in addition to conventional profiles, allows guided programming of conversational macros: the operator fills in fields with technological values and works with parametric macros or fixed cycles.

Different keyboards available

  • Alphanumeric: membrane (heavy-duty) or long-stroke (ergonomic)
  • Machine: membrane version, available with different layouts (handwheel, joystick)
  • Machine push-button panel: modular with industrial buttons, available with different layouts (handwheel, joystick)

Functions and connectivity

  • Fieldbus connectivity: EtherCAT (integrated), ECS Link (gateway), Mechatrolink® 2 (gateway), SERCOS (gateway)
  • Analogue and digital interfaces (up to 2048 I/Os) via EtherCAT modules
  • Drive control: in speed or position loop
  • Management of gantry and tandem axes (electrical backlash)
  • CNC900PC simulator: realistic machine simulation. A useful tool for the manufacturer to fine-tune the application (PLC and machine data) without the real CNC; it also lets the machine operator check machining off-line, ideal for training personnel
  • CNC and/or PLC data export: configurable according to the customer’s needs, for data exchange with external management systems (MES, ERP)
  • RB900Studio software: to customise the pages provided by default, or add new ones, and create a completely customised HMI
